First Night in Spokane

Little did we know, downtown Spokane is a family friendly frenzy of First Night celebrations.  We naturally ended up in a warm Irish establishment across the street from the hordes of Spokanites huddled around bon fires throughout Riverfront Park.  We did manage to take in some of festivities on our walk back to the Doubletree.  With temps in the 20's and a nice north wind to match, we had no intention of venturing back outdoors for the fireworks at the stroke of midnight. We could hear the explosions and see the reflections off of neighboring buildings, as our room faced away from the park.
